Our 7th Annual Kreative Kreepers Contest is coming to Essex County Turtle Back Zoo on Saturday, October 17 & Sunday, October 18! 🦇

Our keepers will transform select animal habitats into spooktacular displays inspired by different Halloween themes — all while competing for the title of Best Halloween Habitat of 2026! 🏆🎃

Can’t make it to the Zoo? Don’t worry! Photos of the habitats will be available later in the week. Voting by the public will start Wednesday, October 21 at 12PM and will end on Wednesday, October 28 at 4PM.
